Ingrid’s contemporary art is an unexpected mix of various materials, in arrangements of linear planes of bright colors and complexity.
Her artwork is inspired by the clean lines of her Scandinavian upbringing, the bright colorful influences of her lifelong love of the ocean and her participation in the urban subculture of NYC in the 1980’s. While receiving a formal education at the School of Visual Arts in NYC her free form street art evolved in the explosive, vibrant Rivington School in the 80’s art scene on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in the sculpture garden and galleries in and around the Lower East Side.
An avid surfer and mother of two, she stays involved with Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization protecting waters and beaches. Ingrid also studied at Pepperdine university, Tyler School of Art in Rome, immersive studies in London, Fine art classes while living on an island in Finlands Archipelago for 7 years. Her pieces bring light and life into any space. Her genres are far and wide and span 40 years.
Her work has been shown in many galleries in NY, Europe, and USA. Collectors far and wide love her work.
